The plant, Coccoloba uvifera, is a native, salt-tolerant species found along beaches in Florida and the Caribbean. It's known for its grape-like fruit clusters and large, round leaves.Seagrape takes its common name from its coastal home and the clusters of red, grape-like fruits it produces. Though not true grapes, these fruits are edible and the taste is often compared to muscadine grapes.
