This trailing vine has a high salt tolderance and can be found in the wild growing amongst the sand dunes along the ocean.  As a part of the morning glory family this vine has a large pinkish purple morning glory flower that flowers in the spring and early summer.  It is known for it's medicinal properties in some cultures.
