The Panama Rose (Rondeletia leucophylla) is a vibrant, evergreen shrub prized for its bright pink, star-shaped flowers and year-round blooming in warm climates. It is a bushy plant, growing up to 5 feet tall, with dark green, glossy leaves. The flowers, which appear in clusters at the branch tips, are particularly attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds, and their fragrance intensifies in the evening, suggesting pollination by moths.  Commonly used as a landscape hedge this shrub does not require irrigation once established but will not flower as often with regular pruning. Grows in full sun to full shade with filtered light.
